I first met Mike and his wife, Sandi, through a recommendation from a mutual friend. The first time I sat down with Mike, I was very nervous about buying my first house. Right from the start, Mike was extremely kind, honest, and patient. He always had answers to my questions. His demeanor did a lot to change my attitude from nervous to excited. Throughout the loan application process, Mike was always available for questions. I always got a response from him within hours of contacting him, not days. I always felt he valued me as a person, not as a client, and was trying to protect my best interests. He was very organized and efficient, specifying the exact information I needed to provide every step of the way. I really came to completely trust his advice, and my trust was never misplaced. For anyone out there shopping for a mortgage, Do yourself a favor and seek Mike Durr and his team. I found Kingwood Mortgage Guy online, read some of the reviews and gave them a chance. I am so glad that I did! Every positive review was absolutely true, and it was so easy. They were extremely professional and walked with me through the entire process. In my situation I was able to lower my interest rate, reduce my mortgage term and get a lower monthly payment. Anytime that I had a question Mike or Liz would respond very quickly. I just had to provide some documents and every thing else feel into place just as they had planned. Again an awesome experience and I don't believe it could have been any better. Mike Durr and his team were amazing! When I decided I wanted to refinance my home I had no clue which way to turn. So I took the easy way out and decided to go through my current mortgage company. Well that turned out to be a bad idea. I wanted a cash out refinance and I informed them of that. Instead they told me I needed to do a refinance and then apply for a home equity loan. Well I didn't want to do that and I felt that was a waste. At that time I went online to search for mortgage companies in my area and I came across Mike's youtube video. In his video he explained the process and what Kingwood Mortgage Guys would be able to do. At that moment I picked up the phone and called Mike. I let him know what I wanted to do and he informed me to go ahead and complete an online application and we would go from there. Well I am glad I did! I closed December 20, 2019. Mike and Sue and the rest of their team are wonderful! I was a first time home buyer without a clue. I have a good credit score but my debt was preventing me from getting the house of my dreams. After meeting with Mike, executing a plan, I was able to get to where I needed to be to do so in less than 2 months.
